Pear starter kit Coil in Canada: the cheap shortlist
Pear in Canada: 16 units tested over 5 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Canada.
Where buyers go wrong with pear in Canada
Pear prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Canada that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within CA$1.63 per 10 ml.
Pear in Canada reaches the shelf in starter kit formats, and the cheapest ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
The short version: pear in Canada works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a pear starter kit really costs in Canada
If you are looking at pear in Canada, the first question is not strength. It is whether the starter kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested pear in a starter kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 3–6 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Canada, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in Canada, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where pear goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest starter kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Mixing pear with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Canada sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is 20 mg/mL. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Health Canada caps nicotine at 20 mg/mL and requires child-resistant packaging.

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to Canada?
Yes, tracked to 3–6 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Why does pear taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the pear blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should pear start at?
Start at whatever Canada allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a starter kit.
