Plum starter kit Coil in Canada: the order shortlist
Plum in Canada: 22 units tested over 9 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Canada.
Choosing a starter kit for plum
Plum starter kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 22 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
The honest read on plum: 22 units through the same routine over 9 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
The short version: plum in Canada works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plum starter kit really costs in Canada
Plum prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Canada that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within CA$3.26 per 10 ml.
How we tested plum in a starter kit
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Canada, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 3–6 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Spare parts availability for starter kit in Canada, since tanks and pods go first.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in Canada, not a suggestion.
Where plum goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest starter kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plum tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Health Canada caps nicotine at 20 mg/mL and requires child-resistant packaging. Shipping of nicotine to Canada runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
