Tropical squonk mod Coil in Canada: the cheap shortlist
Tropical in Canada: 23 units tested over 4 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Canada.
Delivery, returns and what 3–6 business days really means
We run tropical the same way in Canada: same squonk mod, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.

The short version: tropical in Canada works if the squonk mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a tropical squonk mod really costs in Canada
Tropical sounds like one product. It is not: a squonk mod running 20 mg/mL will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested tropical in a squonk mod
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 3–6 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Canada, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 23 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in Canada, not a suggestion.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a squonk mod arrives sealed but wrong.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a squonk mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Mixing tropical with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Health Canada caps nicotine at 20 mg/mL and requires child-resistant packaging.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should tropical start at?
Start at whatever Canada allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a squonk mod.
Why does tropical taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the tropical blend itself harsh.
